As the Christmas season is upon us, I have to take a moment to preach to myself. So many times we get so busy with doing the work of God, that we make that our god. Everything that we do, even in the service of the kingdom, needs to be kept in perspective.

Each time that we have rehearsal for our Christmas production, we pray. More often than not, even if I'm not leading the prayer, someone will also lift up the following sentiment in prayer. "Dear Lord, please remove anything from us that would hinder the message that you have inspired to reach your people."

What an amazing testament to Drama as Ministry. The mission is clear. Deliver the message of God's love through all circumstances of our lives. Whatever God has called you to, be diligent in serving him no matter what season.

There is never a better time than to spread the message of God's love than when He came to us as a gift of pure love. The anticipation of a gift is a beautiful thing. Which is why I love the scripture John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

So when you're shy about evangelizing, a church Christmas show is the perfect opportunity to share the message of Christ without seeming like you're being a Bible thumper. What an easy way to share the gospel!

Take the moment and invite someone to see a Christmas show, after all...Tis the Season!
